Purity Productions is delighted to have been appointed by the National Gold Standards Framework Centre to manage a series of workshops and seminars across the country through 2010.

A total of 112 homes have now been accredited by the National Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes Training Programme (GSFCH).  To give a sense of scale to the project, more than one thousand care homes have now completed or embarked on a national programme designed to enable quality care in care homes for people nearing the end of their lives.   That means about a fifth of all nursing homes and more than five per cent of all care homes in England have undertaken the training programme.  This amazing initiative is recommended as part of the Government’s End of Life Care Strategy, helps provide better co-ordination with primary care teams and specialists and reduces avoidable hospital admissions. The GSFCH accreditation process is supported by the charity Omega, the National Association for End of Life Care, and Help the Aged.

Professor Keri Thomas, GSF National Clinical Lead, said: “We are aiming to develop a national momentum of excellence, with homes aspiring to this high standard of care, the ‘gold standard’ for people nearing the end of life”. When all this is taken into context we can fully appreciate just how vital this programme is and Purity Productions are delighted to be supporting the work of the centre and look forward to developing the relationship.

Purity Productions will be working with the GSF centre on venue sourcing & management, speaker and delegate liaison, production and project management.

Purity Productions are proud to have been involved in some ground breaking activity with clients touch PR and Grant’s Whisky who has recently signed up as a partner to Classic FM. An evening of superb entertainment was guaranteed all those who attended Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall.

“Classic FM is the UK’s largest commercial radio station, and is the ideal vehicle for Grant’s, allowing us to communicate the quality and brand identity directly to our key target audience of 40-year-old plus drinkers,” says Harriet Knight, brand manager for Grant’s at First Drinks Brands.  “Our objective is to motivate target drinkers to choose a bottle of Grant’s – whether for personal consumption or as a gift – over the Christmas period.”

Working closely with touch PR and The Royal Albert Hall, the Purity Productions team planned for the first alcohol sampling undertaken at the venue. Rob Quinn from Purity Productions commented, “We were very sensitive to respecting the venue we were asked to implement the activity at. It is an iconic location that is steeped in heritage. The sampling was just one aspect of a hugely successful evening for Grant’s Whisky and we are absolutely delighted to have been involved”.

The sampling team prepared and served the typically popular Grant’s cocktails including the Fruit of the Glens and the Godfather, both seasonal drinks in the run up to the festive period. With Simon Bates hosting the evening announcing that samples were available throughout the venue, the team performed superbly to deliver perfect samples to as many guests as possible on the night.

It has been a busy, busy time for the Purity Productions team as we continue to deliver campaigns and events for clients, whilst also planning for 2010 and beyond. We’re not going to let that stop us from giving you the usual monthly dose of news and views. This month however, it’s a bit of a first and we have two issues to share with you. We didn’t post anything in September, but not because we didn’t have anything to share with you, quite the opposite in fact.

It seems a long time ago now but our September issue talked about Grant’s being the first alcohol brand to sample at the Royal Albert Hall (see separate post for full coverage of this spectacular evening).

We’re now mid-way through October and just 10 weeks to go until Christmas - where has the year gone? After a slow start we have continued to pick up the pace and are continuing to support our clients in a  range of activities.

We hope you get the chance to catch up on these. By next month we’ll be back on schedule and celebrating our second anniversary.

The ‘Blistering BBQ’ summer has not quite materialised as the Met Office forecast earlier this year but that hasn’t meant we’ve been any less busy on the events front over the summer. We’re also planning for the rest of 2009 and into 2010. Visibility is an important aspect for any business and we’re currently in the fortunate position to see how things are starting to look for next year.

Confidence also seems to be creeping back into the industry and we are now entering a time of year as companies start to plan for their next financial year and that includes looking at their marketing and communications plan. We are working closely with clients to provide advice and support on how best to leverage their marketing budgets. As with any events, whilst planning is key, so are aspects of integration across platforms and amplification. Our experienced team is on hand to guide clients where ever possible to ensure they make the very most of their events.

For latest news visit;

If you need any assistance with your marketing plan for the coming year, or would like us to to develop some ideas and concepts for you, don’t hesitate to contact Rob Quinn at Purity Productions on +44 (0)1296 474 626 or email rob@purityproductions.co.uk

It’s traditionally a busy time of year in the world of events and experiential marketing and thankfully this has also been the case recently at Purity Productions. We know the economy is still a long way from being settled, but the projects that we’ve been working on are keeping the team out of trouble and off the streets.

Our latest News & Views showcases a couple of new developments we seen in the past month of so. We love new innovation and welcome any articles like this that at some point we could build into an event or experiential campaign.

The latest event for the continued Grant’s Garden After Hours roadshow has been completed by Purity Productions. BBC Gardeners World Live at the NEC, Birmingham was blessed with some great weather and that meant the visitors flooded into the show. Organisers have already estimated that over 100,000 people visited the show over the 5 day period and a good number of those visitors will have been exposed to the Grant’s whisky experience.

Jason Bentley, Event Manager for Purity Productions & Grant’s Whisky at the show commented, “This is a high profile show in the gardening calendar and you can tell by the sheer number of visitors that have streamed through the gates. The Grant’s stand has attracted so much interest from visitors keen to sample the Grant’s Twist and Fruit of the Glen cocktails. A good number have gone on to buy the product as well, so they are clearly liking what they are sampling”.

One of the main attractions to the Grant’s stand has been the giant 7ft topiary Grant’s Whisky bottle that is a real feature to the stand. The team are now looking forward to the forthcoming events as the brand start to become established as a recognised fixture on the gardening scene. For more information on Grant’s Garden After Hours, visit www.grantswhisky.com/gardenafterhours.

We gave you a sneak preview of this a couple of months ago and now Purity Productions has implemented the first of a series of experiential sampling events for the continued Grant’s Whisky, Garden After Hours campaign. Launched in partnership with touch PR in 2008, this year the campaign has been extended to have a more involved and immersive experience at established gardening events. The Gardening Scotland event held each year at the Royal Highland Centre proved to be extremely well attended bathed in glorious sunshine and the visitors to the show were treated to a Grant’s Garden After Hours experience. The Grant’s team were sampling the popular Grant’s Twist and Fruit of the Glen cocktails, whilst coopers from the Grant’s distillery in Girvan were on hand to take consumers through the art of cooperage. The show was visited by Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, who met with a number of exhibitors and entrants to the various gardening deign competitions.

Jason Bentley, Event Manager for the Grant’s team provided by Purity commented, “as a leading independant Scottish whisky we were well received last year. This year, with a bigger and better stand things could not have gone better. People love the drinks and are keen to learn more about the involvement that Grant’s have with gardening”.

The Grant’s team are now preparing themselves for a very different experience at the Lowlands Festival held at the home of Grant’s, Girvan before heading down to BBC Gardener’s World Live at the NEC. This year Grant’s whisky will be sponsoring the Gardener’s Crescent at the show and are looking forward to introducing the brand to a raft of new consumers.
