Purity serves up giant red tractor cake…
It was a brief quite unlike any other but we love a challenge at Purity Productions.
Working with client touch PR, we were asked to create something memorable to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Assured Food Standards organisation. Purity Productions commissioned specialist prop maker Clare Grotefeld to design and build a giant, 6ft red tractor cake to be towed onto London’s Southbank for a press photo call.
Rob Quinn from Purity Productions comments, “The brief was certainly unique, we have worked closely with touch PR for a number of years and love the opportunity to rise to a challenge and think we have done exactly that.” Purity also worked with GSB Associates who kindly provided support in the form of Massey Fergsuon who supplied a tractor to tow the giant cake onto Queen’s Walk for the photo call and Skylon bar & restaurant venue for a breakfast and lunch reception. All in all, the day was certainly one to remember for all who attended. Environment Secretary, Caroline Spelman and Ambassador for the Assured Food Standards, Janet Street-Porter cut the giant cake in front of the assembled press and photographers.
Assured Food Standards is an organisation established to help cut through any confusion for consumers. The Red Tractor logo is an easily recognisable symbol of quality food that’s affordable and safe to eat. When you see the Union flag in the Red Tractor logo you’re guaranteed that the food you’re buying comes from British farms and meets high standards of production relating to food safety and hygiene, animal welfare and environmental protection.
Clare Grotefeld commented, “When I took the call from Purity Productions I was really excited about being involved in this project and it’s been really rewarding to see the hard work come to fruition and see everyone enjoying the tractor in such an amazing location”.
